Parc Jacques-Cartier "Park Jacques-Cartier"

Bonjour!

Aujourd'hui je suis allée au Parc Jacques-Cartier pour faire une promenade autour le Lac des Nations. Ce que m'a fait bonne impression c'était combien des gens était là. Douzains des gens de jeune à vieux s'amusaient sur les sentiers des pietons, le sentier de patinage, et aussi avec la luge! Le fait que dans ma propre ville de Keene, New Hampshire, Etats-Unis, il y a des parcs et même dans la journée la plus belle, on ne trouvera jamais là beaucoup des gens. Ça me fait triste. Je voudrais pour la forme avoir plus de l'importance culturelle aux Etats-Unis.

Today I went to Park Jacques-Cartier to take a walk around Lake of the Nations. What I found very impressive was how many people were there. Dozens (100+) of people from young to old were having fun on the walking paths, the ice-skating path, and also the sledding area. The fact that in my hometown of Keene, NH, USA, there are parks and even on the nicest day, one would never find that many people there, makes me sad. I wish that fitness was a more important part of the culture in the USA.
